GiftSugg — User Privacy Choices
This page explains how you can view, modify, and delete information related to GiftSugg, and how you can control how your data is used and shared. GiftSugg does not require a user account. Most app content is stored on your device.

1. Modify your data (in the app)
You can change or remove app content at any time without contacting us:
- Gift suggestion history: Open the History tab and delete individual saved sessions.
- New suggestions: Each request uses the details and optional photo you provide at that time — update them before submitting.
- Language: Change app language (English, Turkish, German) from the in-app language selector.
- Privacy consent: Shown on first launch; you can review our policies anytime in Settings.
2. Delete your data
- Delete local history: Remove saved gift sessions from the History screen inside the app.
- Delete all app data on your device: Uninstall GiftSugg from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. This removes locally stored gift history, language preference, and privacy consent flags stored on the device.
- Photos: Optional photos you submit for AI analysis are processed to generate suggestions and are not permanently stored on our servers after processing.
- Server-side credit balance: We store a device identifier and credit balance on our backend so daily free credits and purchased credits work across app sessions. To request deletion of this server record, email support@giftsugg.app with subject line Data deletion request and include your approximate last use date. We will confirm when deletion is complete.
- Purchases: Deleting the app does not refund consumable credits already used. Purchase records are retained by Apple or Google per their policies.
3. Control how data is used and shared
- On-device data: Gift suggestion history is stored locally on your phone or tablet.
- Optional photo: You choose whether to add a photo. Deny or revoke camera/photo access in device settings: iOS: Settings → GiftSugg → Photos / Camera · Android: Settings → Apps → GiftSugg → Permissions
- AI processing: Person details and optional photos are sent to our servers only when you request a gift suggestion, then processed by our AI provider (Google Gemini) and product search services. See our Privacy Policy.
- No ads / no cross-app tracking: GiftSugg does not show ads and does not use App Tracking Transparency (ATT) for advertising. We do not sell personal data to data brokers.
- Third-party shopping links: Product links open external stores (e.g. Amazon, Etsy, eBay). Those sites have their own privacy policies.
- Payments: In-app purchases are processed only by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your payment card number.
4. Your rights (EEA, UK, California & similar regions)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. GiftSugg is designed to collect minimal data and does not require registration.
To exercise these rights, contact support@giftsugg.app. We will respond within a reasonable time as required by applicable law.
5. Türkçe — Veri kontrolü
- Düzenleme: Geçmiş sekmesinden kayıtlı önerileri silebilirsiniz; dil ve form bilgilerini uygulama içinden değiştirebilirsiniz.
- Silme: Uygulamayı kaldırmak cihazdaki yerel veriyi siler. Sunucudaki kredi kaydı için support@giftsugg.app adresine yazın.
- Fotoğraf: İsteğe bağlıdır; cihaz ayarlarından kamera/galeri iznini kapatabilirsiniz.
- Reklam / izleme yok: GiftSugg reklam göstermez ve reklam amaçlı izleme yapmaz.
6. Deutsch — Datenschutzkontrolle
- Ändern: Verlauf in der App löschen; Sprache und Formulardaten jederzeit anpassen.
- Löschen: App deinstallieren entfernt lokale Daten. Server-Guthaben: E-Mail an support@giftsugg.app.
- Foto: Optional; Berechtigungen in den Geräteeinstellungen widerrufbar.
- Keine Werbung / kein Tracking zu Werbezwecken.
